The displacement of Palestinians is not an unintended consequence of War or an accident

It is a deliberate strategy to force Palestinians to leave and forfeit the legal right of return

Wa’ad is here to confront this reality

The Need

What is happening in the camps of the northern West Bank is part of a long and ongoing project to empty the land of its people.

The camps of Tulkarm, Nur Shams, and Jenin are not merely residential areas; they are a living archive of the Nakba, of displacement, and of the refusal to accept the Israeli occupation of historic Palestine.

What is Happening Now

Violence is not just raids, killings, arrests, and imprisonment.

Violence is not just raids, killings, arrests, and imprisonment, although all of these are constantly present. The deeper strategy is attrition. Making life itself impossible.

Demolishing homes, destroying infrastructure, strangling the local economy, collapsing job opportunities, imposing sieges and restrictions, and dismantling the social networks that people depend on to survive.

The goal is to exhaust people and drive them to despair. Wa'ad is here to confront this trajectory.

Why We Are Women Led

1) Women are an essential part of supporting Palestinian sovereignty and ensuring the survival and resilience of the people.

2) Women are the most equipped to identify their family’s needs during crisis

3) Women are most likely to abandon their studies or place others needs before theirs

4) Informal women support networks are the most long-standing, sustainable forms of community care and mutual aid.
