Simone Martin
Simone Martin is a labor and community organizer based between Brooklyn and Nablus. For the past decade, she has organized workers across the New York tri-state area, including nursing home, warehouse, grocery store, media, and resident physician workers, to win better wages, working conditions, and workplace democracy.
For the last three years, she has helped lead Wa’ad Community Fund’s fundraising and distribution efforts, working with community partners to build trust-based relationships that support displaced communities in Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nablus in collectively determining how resources are used.
U.S Director 
Nada Tweir
Nada is a women’s activist and community organizer from Tulkarem refugee camp. Her family is originally from Sabbarin, near Haifa, whose residents were displaced during the Nakba in 1948. Her experience growing up in the camp shaped her commitment to Palestinian women’s rights, social justice, and community resilience.
She studied at Birzeit University, where she was active in the student movement and was arrested in 1982 for her political organizing. She later helped found the Union of Palestinian Women’s Action Committees and was elected president of the union in the West Bank in 1994.
She went on to establish Al-Najdeh Association, which supports women’s social and economic empowerment. Today, she continues to lead emergency programs for displaced women and families from Tulkarem, Nur Shams, and Jenin camps, including basic assistance, psychosocial support, and educational support for children.
Tulkarem Director 
Jenin Director Tahani Al-Ghoul
Tahani is a community organizer from Jenin refugee camp, where she leads the Jenin Camp office of the Women’s Action Association. Through her work, she supports women and families facing displacement, poverty, and the ongoing violence of occupation.
Rooted in the community she serves, Tahani helps coordinate local programs that provide urgent assistance, strengthen women’s resilience, and ensure that displaced families are supported with dignity.
